Two Bronze medal this year, that is wonderful.  Every year we make thousands of wines for people, and it would be impossible to enter them all in the International Amateur Wine Competition.  So the wines we enter are the best we sell, but every one of them are made as we would make them for our clients.  The most we add is some extra aging.

2012 LOCAL WINE MAKING SHOP BRINGS HOME 2 GOLD

Local wine making shop has brought home 2 Gold  Medals from the 2012 International Amateur Wine Competition.  The team from THE GOOD  GUYS BREW SHOPPE in Riverview won a Gold Medal with a 2010 Malbec and a second  Gold Medal for 2009 Barbaresco. 

The International Amateur Wine Competition was  held from April 20-22, 2012, an amazing total of 4,318 different wines were  judged at the Equinox Resort in Manchester, Vermont. This year's competition was  once again the largest wine competition of its kind in the world. Entries arrived from hobby winemakers from all over the North America, as well as places  like Malta, Spain, Iceland, Turkey and Australia. Over the course of three days,  experienced judging panels worked through 803 flights, examining each wine using the UC-Davis 20-point wine scale evaluating appearance, aroma, taste, aftertaste and overall impression.
